A new boost for Arabic content

In an initiative that will foster Arabic content, twofour54 partner, Aliqtisadi.com, has launched a new section with Harvard Business Review (HBR) content, making its expert advice available for Arabic readers.

HBR is considered to be the premier source of information on the art and science of business and management, and it is a reference of choice for executives and manager. The section will feature advice from contributors to HBR.org on topics ranging from leadership skills and customer service, to career management and managing yourself. The practical advice offered through this section everyday will present a unique opportunity for Arabic readers.

Aliqtisadi.com will publish its “Management” section in partnership with Crescent Enterprises, a UAE-based conglomerate operating across multiple core sectors of the global economy.

“Publishing content from HBR in the region’s native language reasserts Aliqtisadi.com’s commitment to hosting Arabic content, and to strengthening the media’s role in  advocating good business practices in the Arab world,” said Abdulsalam Haykal, CEO of Haykal Media, publisher of Aliqtisadi.com.  “For 10 years now, Aliqtisadi has been delivering on its mission to support the development of the business sector, boost entrepreneurship, and stimulate economic growth,” added Haykal, “and there couldn’t be better content than HBR’s to provide timely, relevant, and exciting knowledge and expertise.”

Badr Jafar, Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Enterprises added: “This partnership aims at bridging the knowledge and information gap in Arabic business content, with a revered name such as the Harvard Business Review and the breadth and reach of Aliqtisadi.com. This is especially pertinent at a time of extreme promise for the UAE.”

twofour54’s Chief Operating Officer Maryam Al Mheiri welcomed this initiative, indicating that the media zone in Abu Dhabi is committed to attracting partners who can bring added-value in advancing Arabic content. Asserting that the localization of Harvard Business Review’s content is a significant example of the transfer of experience and knowledge, Al Mheiri called for the support of any effort to upgrade and enhance Arabic content to catch up with other languages, especially in verticals with obvious gaps, like management, science, and technology.
