Second Batch of the six month Programme has started

Tamkeen, a strategic partner of twofour54, the commercial arm of the Media Zone Authority – Abu Dhabi, , has successfully concluded its first batch of a specialised training programme in graphic design and public relations that drew the participation of 28 students.

A graduation ceremony was held on 15 September at the Capital Club in Bahrain to mark the occasion. Along with the families of the outgoing students, the ceremony saw the attendance of partner companies that support the programme and offer immediate career placements to the fresh graduates.

Enrolment for the second batch of the six month programme also commenced at the graduation ceremony.

Maryam Al Mheiri, Chief Operating Officer – twofour54, said: “The collaboration between twoufour54 tadreeb, our training academy, and Tamkeen will contribute to the development of the media industry and growing Arab talent in the region. We are pleased to continue this successful joint training programme as the start of second batch students. We also look forward to further cooperation with Tamkeen as part of twofour54’s commitment to enhance the skills of our youth in the region and ensure their seamless integration into the media landscape.”

Congratulating the graduates, Amal Al Kooheji, Vice President – Human Capital at Tamkeen, said: “Today, we are witnessing the constructive outcome of our partnership with twofour54. The completion of the first training programme coincides with the graduates’ immediate recruitment with some of the best known media companies in the region. We are confident these aspiring professionals will make a defining impact on the industry at large.”

Welcoming the enrollment of the second batch of students to the programme, Al Kooheji applauded twofour54 tadreeb’s role in refining students’ skills through adopting latest educational methods and engaging the expertise of prominent trainers and media experts. She also commended the role of local media companies in supporting the initiative through providing training and internship opportunities to the graduates.

Launched in 2013, the Tamkeen training programme offers well-rounded training in public relations, communications and graphics to next generation Bahrainis seeking a career in the media. The programme, developed and executed in cooperation with twofour54 tadreeb, also articulates Tamkeen’s efforts to offer Bahrainis with innovative job opportunities in the private sector.

The programme, offered in Arabic and English, is delivered by distinguished media professionals with experience in renowned international media companies. Participating students are also provided with training opportunities in one of the creative agencies or publications supporting the programme
