“Abu Dhabi is the ideal place to shoot a film” says Hrithik Roshan

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, who played the role of Rajveer Nanda character in the movie said “[filming] can be a physically challenging task, but in an environment such as Abu Dhabi, it was wonderfully easy”

Filmed in various location in Abu Dhabi, Bang Bang! is an official remake of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz’s blockbuster Knight and Day and it is claimed to be as one of Bollywood’s biggest movies which will be premiered in October 2, 2014.

In an interview published on Gulf News Tabloid, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif who co-starred in Bang Bang! described Abu Dhabi as “the most beautiful and peaceful place to work”. Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, who played the role of Rajveer Nanda the film said “[filming] can be a physically challenging task, but in an environment such as Abu Dhabi, it was wonderfully easy”.

Bang Bang! -which already received 8-stars from iMDB prior to its premier, is the first Bollywood film produced in Abu Dhabi. Filming started early May, and took place at various locations in Abu Dhabi including the Corniche, Liwa oasis, Hyatt Capital Gate Hotel, Qasr al Sarab, Emirates Palace and Yas Island. Abu Dhabi’s exceptional mixture of diverse locations, including striking landscapes and modern architecture combined with luxurious settings, has been immensely successful in drawing productions from all over the world.

“[Abu Dhabi’s] skyline is fantastic. The fans are fantastic there… it was the ideal place to shoot a film such as Bang Bang!” said Hrithik Roshan in the same interview published on Gulf News Tabloid!.

The movie is one of the Bollywood’s biggest productions of the year and is scheduled for release in October 2, 2014 at over 4,500 screens for an approximately audience of 50 million including fans in Abu Dhabi.
