Second cohort of Bahraini students successfully complete six-month training programme in graphic design

twofour54 and its strategic partner, Tamkeen (Bahrain), have successfully graduated 17 students through the second round of their specialised graphic design training programme, which aims to nurture and develop the skills of young Bahrainis to help them secure employment in the media sector.

Following the successful completion of the six-month training course, the programme offers students a two-month internship providing hands-on workplace experience and the opportunity to showcase their skills to potential employers.

Speaking on the occasion, Maryam Al Mheiri, Chief Operating Officer of twofour54, said: “Our collaborative partnership with Tamkeen has equipped another group of future media professionals with the knowledge and skills to assist them in achieving their goals. This training programme is an excellent way for young Bahrainis to kick-start their careers in media and contribute to building a sustainable creative industry in Bahrain and regionally.”

Amal Al Kooheji, Operations Chief Executive at Tamkeen, commented: “The graphic design programme proves successful year on year as we witness five of the this cycle’s graduates secure full-time employment with reputable companies in the industry while many others have kicked-off their careers as freelancers. We highly encourage interested candidates to apply to the fourth cycle and explore the programme’s learning experience.”

The training programme is delivered by experienced media professionals and since the programme first launched in November 2013, 33 Bahraini Nationals have successfully graduated from the graphic design programme.

The programme’s third cycle is currently underway and will conclude in November. Applicants interested in the graphic design training programme can register for the next intake from December at tamkeen.twofour54.com.
