Iftah Ya Simsim is a one of the most popular children television series in the Middle East and is the Arabic version of Sesame Street. It was launched originally in the Middle East in 1979 and has been re-produced again after 25 years. The show focuses on Arab children and specifically the children of the Gulf region. It will be airing in many regional stations: Abu Dhabi TV, Al Emarat, Sama Dubai, space toon channel and Sharjah TV.

Abu Dhabi Education Council, twofour54, the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, Bidaya Media and Blink Studios has collaborated together in the production of this show.
