Script/Treatment clearance requirements:
All scripts, treatments, storyboards, and series synopsis need to be approved by the National Media Council in advance of any production.
Fee: AED 1,000
Duration: depends on the size of the treatment – average of 2 to 3 weeks.
Public and Private Ground permits requirements:
Public property such as roads and streets, sidewalks, or in parks, beaches or public buildings. To film in private locations such as residential properties, you will need to apply directly to the property owner to obtain written permission.
Fee: AED 500 application fee and AED 100 per month
Duration: average of 15 to 20 working days
Aerial permit requirements:
Aerial filming permit application
Fee: AED 1,000 per event
Duration: average of 25 to 30 working days
