Fast & Furious 7 newly released trailer reinforces Abu Dhabi’s reputation as top filming location

One of Hollywood’s major productions to take advantage of Abu Dhabi as a top international filming location, Fast & Furious 7 (FF7), had released its official trailer during the 2015 American Superbowl. The trailer attracted more than 100million viewers across the United States alone being aired during the advert break of TV’s most watched broadcast in American history. Following the widely successful first trailer, released in October 2014 gaining more than 200million views on different digital channels, the new trailer showcases epic stunt scenes filmed at iconic Abu Dhabi locations such as Etihad Towers and Emirates Palace. Production for the film first commenced in November 2013 when a visual effects crew captured helicopter shots, stunt footage and a variety of visual effects scenes at some of Abu Dhabi’s most iconic landmarks. In April 2014, actor/producer Vin Diesel, as well as actors Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, joined the crew in Abu Dhabi to continue production.
