29 Sep 2013

Graduates to intern at Cartoon Network Studios Arabia, gaining first-hand experience with animation experts.

Animation graduates celebrated the completion of their 12-month animation course at twofour54’s Cartoon Network Animation Academy in the presence of H.E. Noura Al Kaabi, CEO of twofour54. The graduates presented their animated short projects reflecting the values and culture of the Arab world, as part of twofour54’s mission to drive the development of creative Arabic media content.

Due to the vast advancement in technology, the animation industry as a whole is growing around the world. This is especially apparent in the Middle East, which is now attracting work previously subcontracted to studios in the Far East and India. This recent growth is fuelling a large demand for animators across all sectors and industries.

H.E. Noura Al Kaabi commented;

“As the animation industry in our region continues to flourish, twofour54 is proud to be contributing to its development by providing the local industry with highly skilled and talented young animators. A wealth of careers are available to good animators in the entertainment, publishing and corporate sectors and as the demand for Arabic content grows in our region, so too will the opportunities for animation graduates. I urge all Emiratis with a creative touch to consider enrolling in the Cartoon Network Animation Academy, which also offers special grants to UAE locals.”

CNAA graduates praised the accessibility of the Academy’s exceptional training facilities, and the tailor made courses that suit the market needs in the region.

Kamel Faisal Altamimi, a graduate from Saudi Arabia added; “I can’t wait to begin implementing everything I’ve learned and start putting what I’ve learned into practice.”

Aya Al Hajiri, another graduate from Oman, added; “At the Cartoon Network Animation Academy we were trained by the industry’s best lecturers and used state-of-the-art equipment, preparing us for real life careers in this exciting and competitive industry.”
